La Gudalupana products are best known for their quality and authentic Mexican taste. We have gained this reputation by maufacturing our masa and tamales with only the finest ingredients. We use fresh ground corn, which is cooked and ground in our factory. Our own family recipes are used to make the salsa and mole that we put in the meat filling, giving our tamales that "homemade touch." These delicious ingredients are then all wrapped in a corn husk to keep in all the goodness and flavor.
If you prefer to try our tamales we have nine different types to choose from: mild pork, hot pork, mild chicken, hot chicken, mild beef, strawberry with raisins, pineapple-coconut, vegetable, and beans with cheese and a slice of jalapeno to give it a kick. We have been making authentic Mexican tamales since 1945, and our quality can't be touched.
Masa Preparada para Tamales (Freshly prepared corn dough for Tamales)
This masa is prepared from fresh ground corn, lard, and shortening. It comes in a variety of flavors, all you need to do is spread some masa onto a corn husk. Then you put your inner filling on top of the masa with whatever precooked meat, fruit, vegetable, cheese, or salsa you prefer and roll the corn husk. Then put the tamale into a steamer for approximately 45-60 minutes or until the masa peals away from the cornhusk. Now you have your own homemade tamale.
Our Flavored masa includes:
- Sal (Salt) - Fresa (Strawberry) - Pina (Pinapple-Coconut) - Chile
Masa Para Tortillas (Freshly prepared corn dough for general use)
This masa is prepared fresh from ground corn and water. You can buy tortillas at your local grocery store, but the taste isn't the same as your own homemade tortilla. To make it, you take a small ball of masa and flaten it into a pancake with wax paper and put it on the stove for 3-5 minutes. Mmmm....
Masa para Tortilla de Morado (Fresh prepared Blue Corn Dough for general use))
Do you ever get sick of the same tortillas day in and day out? How about your tortillas? Well La Guadalupana has a dough to make blue corn tortillas. Blue corn has more glucose than normal yellow and white corn so it gives your tortilla more flavor. Why not try something different, make a blue corn tortilla today.

Maiz and Manteca
Maiz para Pozole (Large fresh corn for soup)
During the holidays, a traditional Mexican soup prepared is called Pozole. When we buy the canned corn or hominy to add to our soups, the corn dissolves or becomes mushy. The reason for this is the canned corn or hominy is a delicate corn that is not good when reheated. La Guadalupana has found a corn that can be reheated and still tastes fresh when cooked in the Pozole soup. It is bigger and much tastier, Mmmm....
Manteca (Lard & Shortening Mixture)
In Mexico, lard and shortening are sold pre-mixed. In the U.S. it is sold separately and requires mixing to get the same taste and quality as how it is sold in Mexico. La Guadalupana sells this mixture so you don't have to mix it yourself.
Moles and Salsa
Moles (pronounced MOH- lay)
Salsas Salsas Diabla (Hot)
This salsa can be used to flavor your taco, tamale, or meat. Just be careful don't put too much. In Spanish, Salsa Diabla means Devil's Sauce.
